Great content on a technically broken site still won't rank. Before investing in more content, run through the fundamentals: is your site fully crawlable, are there duplicate or orphaned pages, and does your XML sitemap accurately reflect what should be indexed?
Core Web Vitals remain a real ranking signal in 2026, and mobile performance especially so. Check your Largest Contentful Paint, Interaction to Next Paint and Cumulative Layout Shift on real mobile devices, not just lab tools — field data from real users is what search engines weight most heavily.
Structured data is no longer optional. Article, FAQ, Breadcrumb, Product and Organization schema all help both classic search and AI answer engines understand your content correctly — implement it wherever it genuinely applies, and validate it regularly as your templates change.
Finally, audit your internal linking. Orphaned high-value pages with no internal links pointing to them are one of the most common — and easiest to fix — technical SEO issues we find in client audits.
