How to Price Your Services with Confidence

New freelancers almost always price based on what they think they deserve, rather than what the outcome is worth to the client. That's backwards — and it caps your income far below what the market would actually pay.

Start by identifying the outcome your work produces, in the client's terms: more leads, more revenue, saved hours, reduced risk. Price as a fraction of that value, not as an hourly wage for your time.

Offer three tiers instead of one flat price. A good-better-best structure anchors the client's perception of value and consistently increases average deal size — most clients choose the middle option when given a real choice.

Finally, revisit your pricing every few months as your portfolio and results grow. Freelancers who never raise their rates aren't protecting client relationships — they're leaving money on the table that their growing expertise has already earned.
